This is a relatively new interest of mine, but hardly less than any other.
Not long ago, I started reading horoscopes from various sources, and although I didn't actually believe them I began to wonder how they could predict something with any sort of confidence--so I decided to learn.
Yes, I actually casted my own birthchart. That is, how the planets and stars I was born under affected who I am today. Skeptical? No prob--I was, too.

I won't put the entire birthchart down. It would take WAY too much space. (They are more complicated than I would have ever believed.) I will, however, put down the essentials. Birthday: August 21, 1983 Birth Time: 6:41am Pac. Standard Birth Place: The Dalles, OR I am a Leo. This is the lion of the astrology world. This is a Sun sign. My duality is Masculine-meaning more forward and direct and energetic. Leo is a Fire sign--meaning more active and enthusiastic. My animals are (obviously) all felines. Any questions? My sun sign works best (amorously) with Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, and Sagittarius (in most situations)

I was born in the third Decanate of Leo which accents my creativity. Don't worry about knowing what a decanate is. It's not very complicated. It's the whole Leo term, divided into 3 parts by days.

Since my birthday is within 5 days of the end of the Leo "term" it is said that I was born on the cusp of Leo and Virgo. This means that I'm going to have to consider both Leo and Virgo attributes into my actual results. This combination makes me extravagant and outgoing, but also level headed and rational. Interesting combination.

Leo rules the spine, back and heart in the body. This also means that the spine and back are my erogenous zone. (Amazingly accurate I must say,, *grin*)

You may think that that is a lot of stuff to consider, and you aren't wrong. However, it is not even the beginning of my actual birthchart. We now have to consider Moon signs--that is, where the moon was in relation to the zodiac signs when you were born.

My mom sign was in Aquarius, which makes me more idealistic, creative, tolerant, but also more unpredictable, aloof, fixed in opinion and often tactless. (Still accurate) The moon side is often considered the dark side of your personality, even though there are good traits. It balances out your personality.

The Ascendent in my horoscope is Virgo. This means that Virgo characteristics (analytical, logical) are more obvious and apparent than the characteristics of my sun sign (leo). This is all horribly confusing, if you ask me. The Virgo characteristics are what people are going to see when they meet you. They also help define your goals in life and how you deal with others.

That is enough, I say! If you really want to know more about my signs, from the info I've given you I'm sure you can cast the rest yourself. Not that anyone'd want to. There are actually many other parts to the birthchart. Where each planet was in relation to the zodiacs has an effect as well as what house each zodiac sign was in. I'm not even going to try to explain houses, seeing as how I'm not exactly sure myself anymore.

Altogether that means that I am confident, outgoing, analytical, logical, fun to be around, and very sexy. It's pretty damn close if you ask me. *lol* If you don't believe that those are really my characteristics, talk to me and find out!
